If you have been anywhere near a television screen at the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida in the last three years, then you have been captivated by a vivacious and adorable woman telling you about the fabulous rides and attractions you are going to experience during your stay. Well, that hyper-energetic personality who has totally mesmerized you is, Stacey J. Aswad.

Stacey’s humble beginnings are in Binghamton, New York where she started competitive artistic roller skating at the age of five and went on to become a five-time national champion in the sport. Along the way to that achievement, Stacey began studying dance and ultimately earned her BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School in Manhattan. After graduation, she danced and choreographed professionally in New York and around the country. Seeking new and different challenges, and to see the range of artistic opportunities in other parts of the country, Stacey left New York.

She continued her professional performing career throughout the Midwest and also began teaching Dance. During this time, she developed an interest in acting and had a natural talent for it. After booking many regional commercials, industrials and voiceovers, she relocated to North Carolina. There she scored some national commercials and voiceovers and the series regular role of Andi Ramsey, on the television series, 7th STREET THEATER, now airing on multiple cable networks worldwide.

In May 2005, she booked the hosting gig for the 24/7 airing, Walt Disney World’s TOP 7 MUST SEES, television show and that exposure was the turning point in her career. When Hollywood composer agent, Richard Kraft and his friends saw Stacey’s show while on vacation at Walt Disney World, he tracked her down to be the host of his documentary, FINDING KRAFTLAND. She flew out to Los Angeles in September 2005 and spent a whirlwind five days shooting and becoming friends with the fabulous filmmakers.

Upon her return to North Carolina, Stacey had the opportunity to do plays for the first time in her life. To critical and audience acclaim, she played nine different hilarious roles in the regional premiere of the new comedy, CARRIE ANN’S KISS and immediately went on to shine as the lead in the popular Alan Ball play, FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS. During all this stage work, Stacey shot the lead role in the feature length love story, ME & YOU, US, FOREVER, which would open in theatres in February 2008. After completing the film, she returned to Los Angeles in 2006 for the extravagant premiere of FINDING KRAFTLAND at Paramount Studios.

This fortuitous trip to Los Angeles confirmed to Stacey what she already knew in her heart had to be done. So, desiring new challenges and forever accompanied by the love and support of her family and friends, Stacey rented an RV. She filled it up with the bare necessities and drove cross country with her two beloved cats, Rosebud and Lily. The trio arrived just in time to settle into their new place and ring in “Happy New Year 2007” in Hollywood!

In the short time since moving to Los Angeles, Stacey has been on a whirlwind ride and is extremely grateful for all the wonderful job opportunities, professional relationships and new friendships she has experienced. Her various talents and endeavors are being guided by the amazing agent teams at Amsel, Eisenstadt & Frazier, Commercial Talent, AVO Talent and McDonald Selznick & Associates.

Stacey has also found incredible coaches and teachers whom she trusts and adores. With the help of her private vocal coach, the fabulous Raven Kane, Stacey will be showcasing her singing ability very soon. Her acting instrument is finely tuned each week by the incredible Alexia Robinson, in the Master Level Scene Study Class, at the Alexia Robinson Studio in Burbank, California.

Stacey spent Summer 2007 at The Staples Center in Downtown LA as the roller skating on-court game host for the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks, and she will be returning for more action in Summer 2008.

The award-winning documentary, FINDING KRAFTLAND, has screened in more than 50 film festivals worldwide this year and is still going strong. Stacey, Richard and Nicky Kraft and Adam Shell have attended many of them and have the wonderful stories and memories to prove it.

Stacey is using her background in the fitness industry to not only keep herself in shape but to also help others get fit, fabulous and live healthier lives by being an Independent Fitness Coach for
Team Beachbody.

Being an animal lover and advocate, Stacey donates the proceeds from the purchase of her autographed pictures on her website to her favorite animal charity organizations. Her ultimate goals are to help end animal homelessness and cruelty and build animal sanctuaries around the country.
